PENTA CONFERENCE AND THE VAT CHARGE

 

Conference Registration

Conference fees incur the Croatian VAT rate of 25%, according to article 53 of the EU VAT Directive.

All taxpayers incur this fee for attending the conference, whether the company is from the EU or not, as there is no exemption to Article 53 of the EU VAT Directive.

 

Exhibition Stand Rental

Croatian taxpayers must pay Croatian VAT at a rate of 25% as Penta is a Croatia-based association. For other taxpayers, a reverse charge of the VAT is applicable, according to Article 196 of Directive 2006/112/CE.

 

Sponsorship

Penta Pro Forma and Invoice

When you register for a place, sponsor, or request an exhibition stand at the conference, Penta will issue you with a pro forma. Once the pro forma is paid, you will receive an invoice.

 

VAT Refund for Participants

You can claim for the reimbursement of VAT for the conference if you are an EU-based company, by contacting your country’s taxation website. The claim must be made within six months of the end of the calendar year in which the event took place.

For Switzerland and Norway, you may claim your VAT if there is a reciprocity agreement for the same services between your country and Croatia.

 

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

 

All changes or cancellations of registra­tion fees and hotel accommodation must be sent in writing to "Penta" Ltd.

Any change (name, hotel or room type, arrival/departure date) or cancellation is possible under the following conditions: 

* until March 31, 2019: no charges 

* April 01 – June 01, 2019: EUR 50.00 per any service and change  / cancellation (Room cancellation: 50 EUR fee per person, Registration cancellation: 50 EUR fee, per person)

* from June 02, 2019: EUR 75.00 per change of arrival/ departure date or room type. In the case of registration or hotel accommodation cancellation, no refund will be available. Name change for registration or hotel accom­modation is not possible after June 1, 2019. Any new name or hotel reservation is treated as a new application and is subject to prices and terms valid on the date of the change. The same conditions apply for changes on the spot. All refunds will be made after the Congress.
