It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 18th Congress of the Croatian Society for Medical Oncology of the Croatian Medical Association with international participation (HDIO 2026), which will be held from 12 to 15 November 2026 in the beautiful surroundings of the Amadria Park Hotel Ivan in Šibenik.
Oncology is one of the most dynamic fields of medicine, continuously evolving through new knowledge, innovative therapeutic approaches, and increasingly sophisticated diagnostic tools. Despite remarkable progress, we continue to face numerous challenges and increasingly complex decisions in everyday clinical practice, underscoring the importance of continuous education, exchange of experience, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
HDIO 2026 will bring together leading Croatian and international experts to present the latest advances in cancer diagnostics, treatment, and comprehensive patient care. The scientific program will include plenary lectures, panel discussions, selected clinical case presentations, workshops, and expert meetings, providing a platform for open dialogue and knowledge exchange.
Special emphasis will be placed on advances in immunotherapy and targeted therapies, as well as on the integration of molecular diagnostics and supportive and palliative care into everyday clinical practice. We will also continue to encourage the active participation of young professionals by providing opportunities to present their work and engage in scientific discussion.
In addition to a rich scientific and educational program, Šibenik and its unique Dalmatian atmosphere will provide an excellent setting for informal gatherings, networking, and strengthening professional relationships.
